The week!

Mon., 9/3/2018

We had a good week this week! Here are some of the highlights:

- I had a division with Elder Taigen, one of our Zone Leaders. He has 8 months in the mission and is from St George, Utah.

- I had another division later in the week with Elder Skelton from Arizona. He has about a year and a half in the mission!

- Elder Rasband of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles came here to Paragauy and clarified a few things in an interview on the radio with a former president of Paraguay...
1 We believe in Jesus Christ.
2 There is one church from God and it's the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
3 He cleared up the public confusion of who Mormon and Moroni are; they aren't the same or named Mormoni.
4 He explained the church's stance on abortion and families.
5 He warned the country that the success of the country will depend on what happens inside the families here.
6 He showed that the Church of Jesus Christ is a Paraguayan church.
7 He explained that there are more SPANISH-speaking members in our church in the world than ENGLISH speaking members now. We aren't a USA church; we are Christ's church in the world.
8 Other cool statistics: There are 100,000 members of the church here in Paraguay, in 135 congregations in 76 chapels (and I don't think that even includes Neuland's, Loma Plata's, or Yby yau's chapels). All local leaders in Paraguay are Paraguayans!

- We did service at the Bishops' Storehouse. I just love service!

- We helped build a member's house.

Even with a bit of rain and some vicious gripe (pronounced gree-pay) (hahaha it's just the cold) we had a great week! We are always learning, and we're excited for a busy week ahead! Thank y'all for your prayers and emails! Someone wish Mike a Happy Birthday for me. I sent him an email but I don't know if he gets them! Have a good week! I love you all!
